Bank CSV Export Guides
Overview
Before you can import transactions into JoinFunds, you need to export a CSV file from your bank. Each bank has a slightly different process. Find your bank below and follow the step-by-step guide.
Banks with auto-detection
JoinFunds automatically detects the CSV format for these banks. Just upload and go:
- Barclays
- HSBC (including HSBC Legacy format)
- Nationwide
- Revolut (Categorized and Classic formats)
- Monzo
- Starling
- Lloyds
- NatWest
- Chase UK
- Santander
- TSB
- Wise
- First Direct

These banks are supported via manual column mapping during import:
General tips
Most banks let you export up to 12 months of data at once. For your first import, we recommend exporting 3 months so JoinFunds can build meaningful spending patterns without too many duplicates.
Need help?
If your bank is not listed above, you can still import transactions. During the import wizard, select your bank manually and map the columns yourself. JoinFunds supports any CSV file with date, description, and amount columns.
