Can't sign in? Check these first

JoinFunds sends a one-time magic link by email when you sign in. If you tapped "Send me a link" and nothing seems to be happening, run through these four checks before anything else — one of them accounts for the vast majority of cases.

1. Check your spam or promotions folder

Magic-link emails are short and contain a single login link, which is the same pattern many spam filters use to flag suspicious mail. They often land in folders other than your main inbox.

  • Gmail:check the "Promotions" tab and the "Spam" folder. If you find the link there, mark it as "Not spam" so future ones reach your inbox.
  • Outlook / Hotmail: check "Junk Email" and "Other".
  • Apple Mail / iCloud: check the "Junk" mailbox.

The sender address is noreply@joinfunds.app. Adding it to your contacts helps future emails arrive in your inbox directly.

2. Wait a moment for delivery

Most magic-link emails arrive within a few seconds, but the path from our mail relay to your provider can occasionally take a minute or two — especially on weekday mornings when mail volume is highest, or if your provider is doing extra deliverability checks.

On mobile, if 30 seconds pass without the link reaching the app, JoinFunds shows this help screen automatically with the option to try again or resend. On web, return to the login page after a minute or two and request a fresh link if nothing has arrived.

Resist the urge to mash "Send link" multiple times in a row — only the most recent link is valid. After each request, wait for the 60-second countdown; refreshing the page does not restart it. There is also a rate limit of 3 requests per email per hour.

If you see "We could not request a sign-in link right now. Please try again later.", wait a few minutes before trying again. This generic message can appear while temporary service or request-capacity protections are active. You can use Continue with Google on the login page instead.

3. Make sure the link hasn't expired

For your security, each magic link is valid for one hourafter it is sent and can only be used once. If you find an older email in your inbox and tap the link inside, it will fail silently — the sign-in will not complete.

If the link is older than an hour, just request a new one from the sign-in page. The fresh link supersedes anything older, so old emails can safely be deleted.

4. Still stuck? Contact support

If you have worked through the three checks above and the magic link still isn't arriving, email our support team. Include the email address you are trying to sign in with and roughly when you last requested a link — that gives us enough to trace delivery on our side.
